I squeezed past the rubber seal under the cracked window sash and stepped out onto the black iron platform of the fire escape. The grid beneath my boots presented an immediate challenge—the rectangular gaps in the metal grating were wide enough to swallow a foot. Keeping my weight balanced, I aligned my path along the solid central support rib where the footing held firm. Near the railing post, I spotted a weathered wooden clothespin caught beneath a twist of wire. I worked it free and clamped it securely over a crossbar, creating a visible anchor point to mark my line of retreat before tackling the stairs down to street level. #lego #Legofigures #adventure
