Testing the Cutlery

Stuck by the door too long. Marched down the hall into the kitchen, looking for real hardware. Hopped up onto a stool and hauled myself onto the counter right next to the drying rack. A steel whisk was wedged between two plates, bent slightly under pressure. I shoved my shoulder against the handle and levered it free. When it rolled loose, I struck the wire cage with my claws. Clang. Sharp ring, tough tensile steel. Took a seat right on the heavy wooden block nearby to keep watch over this armory.
