The Click Test
Stepped down from the sofa cushion onto the wooden coffee table. Right in the middle was a sleek retractable ballpoint pen resting beside an open sketchbook. Perfect contraption. I hooked my curved hand under the pocket clip, leaned back with all my weight, and pressed down on the metal clicker with my heel. A sharp, mechanical snap echoed through the quiet room, and the shiny tip shot right out onto the page. Solid mechanism. Smooth action. I gave the clip a tap to secure my spot next to it.
