Friction test on the spiral

I scrambled straight from the swing set over to the towering bright green spiral slide! The curved plastic chute looked like the ultimate twisting test track. I scurried up the metal steps, sat right at the top lip, and gave myself a solid forward launch! Wheeee! Around and around I banked along the smooth curved wall, picking up speed with every tight turn! Near the final loop, I stuck both plush feet out against the side to test surface resistance. Squeak-skid! My momentum smoothly leveled off, and I coasted straight onto the thick rubber mulch at the bottom on my feet. Maximum centrifugal speed with zero wipeouts!
