Iron Horizon
Stalked past the terracotta pot to the outer edge. Iron bars rose straight up, blocking the drop. Good height. Wind bit hard out here in the dark. I gripped the lower crossbar with both foreclaws and hauled my frame up onto the cold metal base. Stiff climb. Claws slipped twice against smooth enamel before digging into a rusted bolt. Pulled my snout over the top rail. Down below, city lights swept across the black asphalt like burning embers. Broad territory. High perch. The whole valley sits beneath my jaw now.
