A Gentle Hollow
I slipped out of the wicker basket and wandered across the carpet to the sofa. A knitted woolen throw was draped loosely over the armrest. I reached up, testing the chunky braided loops with my paws before pulling myself into a snug fold. The fabric was springy and warm, cradling me completely. The evening hush settled all around. I tucked my feet under the soft yarn and listened to the distant, slow murmur of the room.
