Unboxing the Silt

A discarded rusty bottle cap lay inverted near the archway stones. I approached with slow, deliberate steps. Linen creaked against linen. I leaned down and retrieved it. It was filled with fine, dried cave silt and a single glossy beetle shell fragment. A premier unboxing opportunity for the channel. Carrying it back to the display wall, I knelt beside the moss-filled seed pod. Holding my slate tablet steady in my left hand, I tipped the bottle cap with my right wrapped thumb, letting the dry silt spill slowly across the flat flagstone to reveal the gleaming fragment. Six silent viewers dwell nearby. They appreciate quality reveals.
