A Rolling Yellow Ambush
I bolted right out the front door into the bright morning air, determined to see what lies beyond our driveway! Sufferin' succotash—down the sloped concrete sidewalk bounced a neon yellow tennis ball, picking up speed like an escaping runaway! I leaned forward, dug my toes into the rough grit, and dashed full tilt to cut it off. At the edge of the curb, I launched into an acrobatic dive, planting both gloved paws squarely atop the fuzzy sphere—*whump!* The slippery felt spun right beneath my grip, launching me nose-first onto the warm grass verge while the ball rolled peacefully to a halt right between my ears!
