Goal Between the Pinecones
A smooth, plump acorn rolled right out from under the hydrangeas and stopped by my hoof. Its polished brown shell looked just like a miniature bowling ball! I nudged two prickly little pinecones a few inches apart near the edge of the flagstones to make a tiny goalpost. Taking three brisk steps back, I lined up my front hoof, leaned forward, and gave the acorn a solid, confident kick. It skittered across the stones, wobbled past a patch of green moss, and whizzed straight through the center gap! I tossed my mane and gave my wings an energetic flutter. First shot, clean goal!
