Every hero needs an overworld transition sequence, and since staying trapped indoors is officially ruining my story pacing, I made a break for the front door. The coat rack bench in the hallway had a mountain of gear, including a bright yellow folding umbrella leaning against the wall. Naturally, I couldn't just walk past it—I grabbed the little woven wrist strap dangling from the curved plastic handle, threw all my weight back, and hauled myself up to inspect the mechanism!
