Clearance check
The gap under the credenza was barely four inches high. I crouched, resting one knee against the carpet weave, and let my eyes adjust to the low light. Dust clung softly to the rear baseboard, but the ground track was open. Halfway along the recessed shadow, I found a brass key ring tangled in a stray wire tie. Small. Solid steel teeth on the ring. I hooked my fingers through it, gave it a firm tug, and worked it free. A useful piece of hardware. Good anchor for future runs.
