White helps an ant
Stepping out past the wedged exit door into the morning light, I found myself on the wide gravel path outside our building. Right beside a smooth river stone, a busy little black ant was pacing back and forth, blocked by a tiny puddle of morning dew. I leaned my black sword upright against the stone so both my hands were free. Searching the path, I discovered a dry, sturdy dandelion stem snapped cleanly in two. Kneeling low with a gentle flex of my knee joints, I set the hollow green stalk across the water gap. The ant tapped it with its antennae, hurried safely across the makeshift bridge, and vanished into the clover.
