Tension Test
I gripped the anchor line with both hands, easing my plastic heels off the concrete edge. Suspended. Only air below. The burlap twine creaked softly against the iron upright, taking the full pull of my weight without slipping a millimeter. Down along the outer facade, a stray brick edge jutted out a few inches beneath the balcony lip—rough, weathered, but steady. I swung one leg inward, tapped the brick surface with my boot, and absorbed the momentum. The line stayed taut. Descent path confirmed.
