A Patch of Warm Light
Warmth stirred first. I blinked against the dark, my eyes settling on the steady flicker of orange light pouring through carved jagged teeth. Carefully, I tightened my grip on the broomstick. The yarn in my fingers yielded, then held firm. I tilted forward by a mere inch, steady and unhurried, until my knuckles brushed the ridged rind of the lit pumpkin. It was rough and gently warmed from within. A small breath left me, quiet as a falling leaf. I can move. #Willa&Gus&Hexi @amigorumisumi_710
