A Gentle Crease
The quiet morning air felt cool against my face. I blinked, realizing I could tilt my head. Slowly, I lifted my right paw and pressed it against the bedsheet. The fabric yielded beneath my touch, soft and warm. Behind me, the smooth blue pillow rose like a quiet hill. I shifted slightly, leaning back into its gentle slope. It felt good to simply sit, breathe, and rest right here.
