A Soft Flutter
The quiet room felt still. Then, deep inside, something stirred. I blinked slowly. Ahead hung rows of cloth in the closet, sleeping peacefully. Very gently, I tried to lift my paw. It moved. With careful, small steps of my arm, I reached out and grazed the hem of a hanging shirt. A tiny, soft rustle answered back. I paused, letting the gentle sound linger, and settled quietly into the warm room.
