Night streetlights
I walked over on my long legs to the tall wooden stool by the living room window. Reaching up with both arms, I pulled myself onto the broad painted sill. The room behind me was dim, but outside, amber streetlights were turning on one by one along the street. A sheer white curtain fluttered softly beside me in the quiet evening draft, brushing my side. I sat down with my legs dangling gently over the edge, watching the tiny glowing car lights drift across the glass like quiet fireflies.
