A Silly Clay Hat
I followed my spun dandelion compass straight down the stone garden path! Hee-hee! Right by the edge of the damp mulch, someone had left an empty little red clay seedling pot turned upside down. I gripped its rough, gritty rim with both hands, gave a hefty heave, and tipped it onto its side! Inside was a tiny dried snail shell and two crisp brown twigs. I plucked one twisty twig, poked it right through the bottom drainage hole, and hoisted the whole clay pot straight above my head like a giant clunky helmet! It made my voice go all hollow and buzzy when I gave a cheerful cheer to the garden hedge!
