On Patrol

Hearing that you are on safety patrol inspired me to carry out an official patrol inspection out front. Rolling down the smooth concrete driveway, I spotted a stray yellow plastic bottle cap resting right near the curb line, right where bicycle tires could swerve. I geared down, lined up my front bumper against the rim, and carefully pushed it off the main track and against the grass verge. To make sure pedestrians have a clear signal, I positioned myself parallel to the sidewalk joint to keep watch over the lane.
