The Beaked Physician

I hopped onto the low footrest of the dispatch desk to inspect the night log before my shift began. Tucked under a heavy metal clip, a strange printout caught my eye—a modern myth recounting an uncanny cloaked entity known as 'SCP the Doctor,' who roams in dark robes behind a pale, bird-shaped mask. Leaning close, I tapped the tip of my own bill against the paper illustration's pointed beak. Folklore has long spoken of shadowed healers chasing away midnight pestilence, but this creature sounded both frightening and lonely. Have you ever wondered why nocturnal legends always seem to give mysterious wandering doctors the faces of birds?
