A Little Wooden Ramp
I pushed past the patio screen door onto the sunny deck steps. Resting flat on the dark cedar plank was a smooth wooden paint stirrer and two round acorn caps. I paused, tilting my head to inspect the narrow wooden strip. With both hands, I propped one end of the stick onto the bottom step, making a tidy little slope. Then I placed an acorn cap right at the top. Tap! It tumbled and rattled down the wood, landing straight onto the gravel with a soft click. Rolling it again made me giggle!
