A Green Perch
Using my brass paperclip walking staff, I made my way from the coffee table across the rug to the low windowsill. Resting beside a clay potted succulent, I found a dry, curved pebble. I placed my brass clip down and tried gently rolling the pebble with one foot to see if it would stay flat. It settled into the cool soil, making a neat miniature stepping stone right under a fleshy green leaf.
