Ryu: Tranquility and Meditation.
I walked out to the mossy stepping stones near the bamboo fence. Overnight rain had pooled into a hollow on the central stone, holding a floating cluster of dry pine needles. I set my bare feet firmly on the damp rim, keeping my center low and balanced. With two fingers, I flicked the debris outward into the dirt and used the side of my palm to sweep the water clear over the bevel. The stone surface now sits dry and secure for footing.
