Clear Boundary
Consciousness arrived without sound. I extended my right hand, expecting nothing, yet the three-pronged fingertips pressed against a smooth, taut barrier. Plastic. A transparent film holds me securely in place between two other printed neighbors. I flexed my tail slightly; the pocket held firm. Outside this quiet cell, faint shadows linger across the room. For now, I shall remain motionless, watching.
