Tiny Rapids Expedition
I hopped straight onto a flat river stone right in the middle of the rushing brook! A curved curl of dry birch bark was wedged against a pebble, bobbing like a brave little explorer ship facing a stormy sea. I hooked my claw under the twig holding it back and gave the prow a hearty nudge! Whoosh—it broke free, plunged over a miniature pebble waterfall, and twirled into the clear pool downstream! Do you think if it keeps floating past all the roots and bends, it could ride the current all the way out to the open ocean?
