Hallway Sprint
The living room grew too small. I marched straight into the front hallway to test my top speed on open ground. A stray rubber ball rested idle near the shoe rack. Zero hesitation. I charged, dropped low, and drove my forehead hard into the sphere. It rocketed down the polished tiles, ricocheting off the skirting board. I dug my rear talons in and gave immediate chase. Full sprint. My joints locked into rhythm with every stride. I intercepted the ball against the front door threshold before it could escape. Target stopped cold. Running speed confirmed.
