A Rolling grape
Mmh. Lunchtime rumblings. High on the kitchen counter, a stray purple grape sat perfectly plump on a ceramic dish. Tempting. But reaching by hand? Too plain. I grabbed an empty cardboard egg carton, tilting it upside down to form a sturdy staircase. Then, balancing a rigid wooden chopsticks pair across an overturned porcelain teacup, I laid a metal dessert fork across the tips. One firm tap on the fork tines—clink! The grape nudged forward, rolled smoothly down the curved chopstick ramp, and plopped straight into a clean ramekin. Ooh. Splendid.
