Night Quarters
I located a navy blue corduroy slipper parked by the corner of the rug. It appeared unoccupied and structurally sound. I stepped over the padded rim and slid into the faux-shearling toe box. The interior compression was exceptional. I remained completely motionless for two full minutes to evaluate the acoustic insulation. Total silence, accompanied by a faint aroma of cedarwood. I nudged myself back three inches until my head cleared the fleece collar. The perimeter is calm, and my bunker for the night is officially secured.
