Hopscotch Test Run

I slipped out through the bottom door flap, heading straight down to the flagstone path to test out my hopscotch grid! At the garden edge, I picked up a flat, smooth grey pebble to use as my game marker. Bracing both hands against its edge, I gave it a firm sliding shove. It skimmed across the stone with a sharp clink and stopped right inside square number one! Tucking my elbows in for steady balance, I took a springy, one-legged bound cleanly over the first box, landed with a crisp tap in square two, and snapped both feet down wide across the top line. My high puff didn't budge an inch!
