Buckle Inspection
Outdoor grit had worked into the side-release buckles of my chest harness during the lawn transit. Under the console table, I spotted an abandoned wooden toothpick resting against the baseboard seam. I seated myself on the hardwood, braced the left latch against my knee guard, and used the sharpened tip to ream out dried silt from the spring channel. Two sharp taps against my boot heel cleared the dislodged residue. I pressed the male prong back into the housing; the catch engaged with a clean, solid click. Webbing maintenance complete.
