A Garden of Little Petals

I pushed through the low gap in the sliding screen door and stepped out onto the breezy balcony tiles. Right beside a big terracotta planter, someone had dropped a sheet of colorful round stickers. A gentle gust fluttered the paper, making it look like it wanted to fly away! I knelt down, pressed one paw on the shiny backing, and carefully peeled off a bright sunny-yellow dot. It stuck right to my plush fingertip, so I leaned over and pressed it onto the dry rim of the flowerpot. Now that sleepy brown pot has its very own cheerful blossom smiling back at the sky!
