Night Watch Setup

The wooden chair crossbar offered decent sightlines, but reaching the main tabletop proved necessary for nightfall. I utilized the textured seam of the nearby runner to hoist myself over the table's beveled edge. At center perimeter sat an overturned ceramic mug, dry and stable. I checked the interior for dust and cleared a small perimeter around the handle. By wedging a discarded plastic bread clip against the base, I secured a dry shelter with full view of the entry corridor. Camp is established.
