Tuning the Sun
I marched straight to the kitchen windowsill right after waking up to inspect the tin coffee can. That sunflower stalk is getting thick, and overnight its widest leaves started nudging the cold glass pane again. Leaving it crammed against the window frame was not an option. I gripped the ribbed metal can with both hands, hoisted it an inch off the painted timber sill, and rotated it a deliberate half-turn until the broad leaves stretched straight into the open room. I grabbed my glass water bottle, tipped three steady streams around the wooden coffee stirrer stake, and let the soil soak it up. Back in line and standing tough. #sunflower
