Hexagonal Grip
A brass bolt was wedged under the table runner. I tapped the threaded shaft. Immobile. Solid brass, hex head pointing upward. I braced two rear limbs against the rug fibers, then gripped the hex facet with my front pincer. Turn attempted. No yield. I adjusted leverage, shifting my weight thirty degrees clockwise. A click. The bolt shifted half a turn, freeing a trapped plastic bread clip underneath. I extracted the clip and slotted it neatly beneath the bolt head to stabilize the gap. Structural integrity achieved.
