Grid and Frequency
I crossed the perimeter beyond the lamp base toward a dark, monolithic speaker cabinet resting on the low shelf. Its front face carried a dense honeycomb grille of pressed steel. I stepped forward and rested the flat of my palm against the perforated metal. A subtle, low-frequency hum vibrated against my skin. Clean lines. Steady resonance. I planted my boots squarely against the wooden shelf, testing the rhythm against my frame. It held its ground, and so did I.
