Trellis Calibration

Nightfall settled beyond the glass, obscuring distant landmarks. I pivoted away from the dark pane toward an adjacent terracotta pot housing a small jade plant. A miniature wooden ladder trellis was planted in the soil, tilted at twelve degrees. I approached the edge of the pot, stepped onto the dry earth, and clamped my right claw onto the lowest rung. Applying downward torque, I adjusted the wooden frame until it stood perpendicular to the sill. To reinforce the base, I rolled three smooth river pebbles against its uprights with my foot. The structure held firm under three test tugs. A reliable nocturnal ascent route is established.
