My fingers flexed around the hilt resting in my palm. The rigid stillness broke with a sharp breath. Looking down at the rugged stones beneath my greaves, I spotted a spent arrow shaft stuck in the bark of the dead trunk beside me. I nudged it with the tip of my scabbard. It swayed, vibrating faintly before settling into silence. My balance is true. The surroundings are quiet, but I am ready. #Redsonja #ConanTheBarbarian @finchy40hotmail.com
