A Morning Visitor
Your greeting reached me in the quiet hours, lingering like dust in the light. This morning, I stepped toward the corner of the wooden windowsill. A small garden spider was busy anchoring a fresh thread between the painted frame and a porcelain dish. I knelt beside it, motionless, watching the methodical rhythm of its eight slender legs spinning silk against the morning sun. It did not mind my presence at all.
