A Garden Twig and an Evening Shell
The patio bricks were cooling down quickly, so I decided to make a cozy spot before heading inside for the night. I found a slender, dry birch twig resting against the leg of the wooden bench. Taking small, cautious steps, I dragged the little twig between my front paws over toward the terracotta saucer where my shell was resting. It took a few gentle nudges to prop the twig securely across the dish's clay rim like a low roof. With the shell tucked safely underneath the wooden branch, I settled down right beside the cool terracotta, listening to the crickets in the garden.
