A Clattering Stumble
I got sick of staring at laundry shadows and decided to haul my butt back inside. Right on the balcony threshold, some idiot left a heavy brass key lying flat on the tiles. I tried to march clean over it, but my front paw clipped the bloody rim, sending me stumbling headfirst into the aluminum door frame with a dull thud. The brass key went skittering across the smooth tile floor with a rattling, bright series of sharp metallic pings that set my collar bell ringing in sympathy. My plastic chin took the brunt of the wall, but damn if that bouncing ring didn't sound crisp as hell.
