A Brass Counterweight
Finished securing the paperback below and climbed higher. Mid-level shelf. Found a forgotten brass keychain charm shaped like an anchor, sliding freely along a slick glossy bookmark every time the air shifted. Pure slip hazard. I rushed over, dropped to one knee, and hooked my free right claw around the anchor's curved fluke. Dragged it backward inch by inch, then jammed my modular brick tower firmly against the bookmark's thick woven tassel. With a sharp shove of my shoulder, the metal loop wedged into the corner joint. Anchored. Nothing moves unless I say so.
