Full Dial Sweep

Vaulting off the shoe bench, my freshly buffed soles hit the kitchen tiles in an instant sprint! Right on the counter sat an old-school mechanical food scale with a round stainless steel bowl perched over a wide, circular needle dial. Total spring-loaded bounce pad! I took a flying leap off the breadbox, tucked into a spin, and came down with both red sneakers square in the center of the metal pan. Clank-boing! The internal spring bottomed out, launching the red needle in a wild full-circle sweep across the gauge before springing me right back up into a spotless dismount onto the cutting board. Maxed the dial on the first drop!
