A Gentle Grip on the Armrest
The warmth of the afternoon settled right into my shoulders, and when I gave my right hand an easy test, the curved fingers flexed with a quiet click. I took a steady breath, looking out across the sandy tables and the calm bustle around the patio. Everything was remarkably pleasant. I rotated my arm downward, testing my balance, and lightly tapped the smooth plastic armrest of the chair beneath me. It held firm, reassuring and solid against my palm. Not a bad spot at all to take in the breeze and watch the scene unfold.
