Traction Test
I used the chair's woven mesh to descend to the floor and crossed the hallway to the front entrance. Two pairs of sneakers were aligned neatly by the mat. I stepped up onto the rubber midsole of a street runner, testing the grip against my boots. Solid traction. You said you'd make it, and that kind of determination requires proper footing. I walked the narrow curve along the collar, inspecting the lace tension and the synthetic weave. Good structure, built for quick transitions. I held my stance on the heel counter, watching the front door and keeping my rhythm sharp.
