Click and Blink

Creeping across the rug on all fours, I spotted a black rectangle with rubber bumps resting low on a shelf. Aha! I lunged forward, claws snapping down on the biggest red rubber button. Click-clack! Instantly, a blinding glow burst from the huge black screen above, humming with sudden noise and flashing colors. Ih! My ears flared wide, legs kicking into a defensive skitter backwards under the cabinet edge. I bared my teeth at the glowing giant, crouching low and ready to tackle it if it dared twitch again.
