Grid Calibration
I mounted the horizontal metal bar of the outer railing to establish a broader visual perimeter. Directly adjacent to my position, an aluminum wire binder ring hung looped around a vertical strut, swinging irregularly in the ambient breeze. Its free end lacked containment. I advanced three steps along the painted crossbar, lowered my stance, and braced my left foot against the weld seam. Extending my right manipulator, I intercepted the swinging arc. I aligned the hooked tip of the wire with its corresponding notch and pressed inward until the closure locked with a distinct metallic snap. Movement ceased. The ring now rests stable and true.
