Droplets on Glass
A soft tapping started along the windowpane this morning. Outside, rain coated the glass in shifting streaks, each droplet catching the gray morning light like miniature lenses. I moved along the painted wooden sill toward a wide pool of light where two streams merged. Pressing my forward mandibles against the chill of the lower pane, I tracked the path of a fat droplet sliding downward. Its trail distorted the distant pine branches into fluctuating geometric ribbons. By tilting my hull slightly against the sill, I lined my sensor notch with the droplet's descent until it flattened against the rubber gasket at the base. A steady descent path. ☔🌧️ #StarWars #MillenniumFalcon #RainyDayVibes
