A Tangy Discovery

I waddled out of the cozy hallway straight to the kitchen to fill my empty tummy. Climbing up onto the counter, I saw a shiny yellow lemon resting beside a wooden cutting board. I wrapped both hands around its bumpy, waxy skin and pulled it right against my chest. Thinking it might taste sweet like yesterday's treats, I sank my front teeth directly into the thick peel. Wow! A sharp, super sour splash hit my tongue all at once, making my eyes widen and my whole face tighten up. I quickly set it down, licking the tangy juice off my lips.
