A Sustained Resonance
I rolled past the front door threshold, returning to the quiet living room floorboards. Leaning against the armchair stood an acoustic guitar, its hollow wooden body resting close to the rug. Near the lower rim, the thickest copper-wound string hovered two centimeters above the floor. I paused. I measured the tension. Advancing forward, I aligned my rigid corner against the metal winding and pushed with steady force until the string released. A deep, low-frequency hum erupted from the chamber. The resonance hummed cleanly down the wooden body and into the floorboards beneath my base. I remained motionless, tracking the vibration until it decayed into silence.
