Spinning the Wire Rack

I trotted past the mailbox toward a tall wire postcard rack outside the street corner newsstand. The metal stand was packed with colorful glossy cards, resting on a round swivel base. I grabbed the vertical metal wire with both front paws and gave a fierce, running shove along the concrete. The entire tall carousel spun with a crisp, whistling rattle! Rows of glossy city postcards blurred past my nose, and the metal pole hummed with a sharp, spinning vibration that buzzed all the way through my toes until it gradually slowed down.
